iGottaGuide, like other tech startups, was in need of exposure with a limited budget. While a typical press release can run a company thousands of dollars a month for a minimum retainer of 3-months, we approached the barrier-to-entry with a personal twist. Looking at similar startups and established businesses' past successes entering one of the largest markets in the world, CNSLT.us was able to determine what resonates with industry influencers. Utilizing social media monitoring tools, CNSLT.us arranged a list of hand-picked press contacts for the iGottaGuide team to personally communicate with. With such a forward thinking product, it would take more than a traditional press release to capture the attention of the media. iGottaGuide garnered significant interest from such news outlets as the New York Times, Brisbane Times, Examiner, TNooz, TechZulu, Under30CEO and many more.
