Jackie, a recent NYU graduate and newbie restaurateur, had made all the right moves when she purchased KuKu Canteen: added healthier cuisine for the fast paced, yet health conscious NYU students, invested in new kitchen equipment and established an online following. However, the KuKu Canteen website was missing a key element. Something Jackie referred to as, “Just SEO it!” [Search Engine Optimize] CNSLT.us researched KuKu’s target audience and their online behavior. The customer purchase decision for these consumers begins with word-of-mouth and is enhanced by mobile browsing based on geo-location. Thus, the CNSLT.us re-development of KuKu’s website must be optimized for viewing across mobile browsers. In addition, KuKu needs to secure and centralize all of its online profiles, from Google Places to Yelp to Facebook, etc. CNSLT.us developed the new site using Wordpress as the Content Management System. As a small restaurant, KuKu and its management are continuously changing the menu, promoting new specials, hosting events and connecting with their loyal patrons. Utilizing Wordpress’s user-friendly dashboard, Jackie and her staff can now manage their site on their own time and never have to rely on a web developer again - remember the days when it took a week to change the price of a menu item!
